On sketchbooks

Rodrigo Tello

I don't use notebooks, because I don't take notes. I draw. So I use sketchbooks. I've always kept a sketchbook with me since I started architecture school in 2005. Most of my professors did. I've learned some things.

It's totally fine to buy sketchbooks that you are not gonna use immediately. You'll use them eventually.

There's no perfect sketchbook. Usually, the ideal sketchbook has changed over time and depending on the situation. I've also noticed that

I had a phase of just wanting to try different paper sketchbooks, looking for different qualities, aspect ratios, and details I might or might not like.
