Tech vs Tech Industry

Created:

I work in the software industry.

Tech is not tech industry. Tech industry is an industry, which would be more appropriately called the software industry, or the internet industry, considering companies like Uber, GrubHub, or Airbnb, are more service companies that happen to rely a little bit of technology, but they're more like law firms and logistics machines, that instead of having front-desk have mobile apps. Just like banks or pharmaceutical companies also use technology for their management and operations.

Everything is tech. Medicines, agricultural water irrigation, cars, planes, pizza delivery. All human activities not just rely in technology but exist precisely because they are technologies, inventions humans made to accelerate the process of information, standarize processes and knowledge, multiply the energy efficiency spendure
