On sauce and language

One of my biggest pet peeves, as people in the US will say, is the wrong use of the word sauce when referring to Mexican-style sauces. Let me elaborate.

After I moved to the US - around 2015, 7 years ago - one of the many and early confusing and minor "cultural shocks" I experienced was being at Mexican restaurants trying to order food.
